Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
If you are age 70½ or older and have an IRA, you may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly to People & Stories. A QCD may satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution and may offer tax advantages.

What are employee matching gift programs?
Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations.
It's an easy way to double your contribution to us!
How do I request a matching gift?
Requesting a matching gift is normally a five-minute process that must be initiated by the donor. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process. Please search our database for company-specific information.
How does payroll giving work?
Payroll giving allows you to designate a set amount to be deducted from each paycheck and donated to People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos. This is typically set up through your employer or through a specific website that your employer uses to manage their payroll giving program. To begin, please use the payroll giving search tool above to see if your employer participates. If so, please follow the guidelines provided for how to enroll. If your employer does not participate, no problem! You can still easily set up a recurring donation through the Donate today! page.
What if I submit my matching gift outside of your donation form or matching gifts page?
If you submit your matching gift or volunteer grant outside of our online donation form or matching gifts page, contact us directly to notify us of the request, so we may track the matching funds as needed.
