Stories in the Garden: “TRY IT” at Morven Museum

Join us for a summer evening in the glorious gardens of Morven Museum & Garden and experience the unique People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos method firsthand.

During this free 90-minute "Try It" session, talented People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos Coordinator Dr. Marcy Schwartz will read a compelling contemporary short story aloud. Participants will then discover how literature can spark reflection, connection, and meaningful discussion.

Listen to a great short story.
Share your thoughts (if you choose to).
Connect with ideas you may have never considered (and perhaps make a new friend!)

No preparation is required.

No literary background is necessary.

All materials are provided.

People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos brings individuals from all walks of life together through the shared experience of literature, creating opportunities for connection, understanding, and personal growth.

Life experience is a plus! All are welcome!

Space is limited to 20 participants, and advance registration is required.

In the event of inclement weather, the program will be held inside Morven's Stockton Education Center adjacent to the Garden.
