Crossing Borders With Literature
A Project Across Municipal Boundaries

Sponsored by - The Princeton Area Community Foundation

Participant Comments

Email from Crossing Borders Participant

My particular group meets at the Bo Robinson Education and Training Center--a minimum security "facility"--each Tuesday morning.  We have a facilitator from People & Stories, four women from Princeton, Hopewell and Lawrenceville and approximately 8-10 inmates, depending on the week.  The facilitator reads the short story aloud and then leads a discussion.  The experience has been interesting on many levels.  I have thoroughly enjoyed the well chosen stories and I have also appreciated the loosely structured--but structured--examination of the stories.  The experience of "sharing" with the inmates goes beyond the scope of an e-mail. Suffice it to say, I feel on the receiving end of this exchange.  In short, I would highly recommend this program to anyone who can make the commitment.   Jo Butler
